Jarron Silva joined SJSU as an assistant coach prior to the 2025 season.
Prior to SJSU, Silva was an assistant coach at Pacific during the 2024 season.
Silva spent the 2023 season as a graduate assistant coach on the Tiger staff. His duties included swing development, scouting opposing pitchers, base running and outfield play. He helped the Tiger offense to a .280 team average with five freshmen in the regular lineup.
Silva arrived on the Pacific campus for the 2022 season when he returned home to Stockton to play his final collegiate season for the Tigers. He started 51 of the 52 games for the Tigers, leading the team in games played. He hit .259, fourth on the team among the regulars. He was third on the team in base hits with 49 and tied for third in RBI with 24.
Silva transferred to Pacific after graduating from UCLA where he played for five seasons, helping the Bruins to four NCAA regional appearances, including advancing to a super regional. He played in 101 games for the Bruins over the five years, finishing with a .251 career average including a career-best .288 in his senior season.
Silva is a Stockton native and was a top prospect during his career at St. Mary’s High School, where he hit .370 as a senior.
He graduated in 2021 from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in sociology and earned his master's degree in communications from Pacific in 2023.
