Korey Geist was appointed coordinator of player personnel for the San Jose State University football program in February 2016. Geist returned to the Spartans after spending the 2015 season as a recruiting intern and player personnel assistant at the University of South Florida.
During his first tenure with the San Jose State football program, Geist was a recruiting and operations intern from the end of the 2014 season into the 2015 calendar year.
The 2015 San Francisco State University graduate majored in recreation, parks and tourism and graduated with cum laude honors.
Geist began his career in football in 2012 at City College of San Francisco as an undergraduate assistant. He assisted the team's quarterback coach, assisted with running drills, video production and game plan creation. For the 2014 season, he was an assistant coach of the St. Ignatius High of San Francisco junior varsity football team.
He holds memberships in the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American Camp Association.
