Since 2021, Aaron Potoshnik serves as the San José State University Director of Football Athletic Performance.
Potoshnik joined the Spartans in January 2019 and has work experiences with the football, basketball, golf, track and field, women's soccer and women's tennis teams. He was with the 2020 San Jose State University football team during its entire Mountain West championship season.
Potoshnik came to San Jose State after 2.5 years at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. He held several strength and conditioning positions and worked with the Demon football, men's basketball, softball, women's soccer, women's tennis, and track and field teams.
The 2015 Washington State University graduate majored in exercise science. He earned his master's degree in exercise science from Northwestern State in 2018.
Potoshnik began his professional career in 2014 at his alma mater as a strength and conditioning intern and an exercise physiology and performance laboratory research assistant. He moved across the state to the University of Washington for the 2016 spring semester as strength and conditioning intern and worked with the entire Husky 22-sport student-athlete population.
He is a certified as a strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Potoshnik holds certifications from USA Weightlifting as a sports performance coach Level 1, a Precision Nutrition certified coach Level 1, and the American Heart Association in CPR/AED (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator).
