Cedric Lousi will be entering his second season as a San José State University football graduate assistant. In 2021 he worked with the defensive coaches.
Lousi (pronounced Low-see) returns to the Spartans after three seasons as an assistant football coach and para-educator at James Logan High in nearby Union City, Calif.
The 2016 San Jose State graduate majored in child and adolescent development. He played as a defensive end during the 2010, 2011, 2014, and 2015 seasons. During the 2012 and 2013 seasons, he served a church mission in five different Texas cities.
The native of Auckland, New Zealand came to the United States at the age of seven. He is of Tongan descent and a distant nephew of Queen Halaevalu Mata'aho. His sister, Latahevai Lousi, is in her fifth season as an outside hitter and All-Mountain West player on the San Jose State University volleyball team.
