Garrett Sandow is in his fourth season as a member of the San José State football staff and his third as a graduate assistant. He will be working with the defensive coaches and the linebackers specifically.
Sandow joined the staff in 2019 as a volunteer. During the calendar year, he worked with the tight ends coach Matt Adkins and running backs coach Alonzo Carter.
The 2017 graduate of Eastern Oregon University majored in communication studies. He was a quarterback on the 2016 and 2017 Mountaineers teams. Sandow began his college career at Shasta College in Redding, Calif., competing in football and baseball.
He was a three-sport letter winner in football, basketball and baseball at Red Bluff (Calif.) High. Sandow is pursuing a master's degree at San José State in kinesiology with an emphasis in sport management.
