Zack Sherwood started in 2019 as an assistant athletic trainer for San Jose State. He works primarily with the Spartan men's basketball and women's golf programs. Prior to joining the Spartans, Sherwood worked as an athletic trainer with the Oakland Roots of the USL, Santa Clara University, Fairmont State University and Newberry College. He received a bachelor's of Kinesiology from High Point University in 2015 and a Master's in Kinesiology from San Jose State University in 2019.
Sherwood is originally from Darien, Connecticut. He began his career in athletic training working as an intern at Newberry College with their cheer, dance, cross country, field hockey, men's basketball and football teams. At Fairmont State he provided comprehensive medical care for 16 teams as a member of a two-person staff. He covered the softball and men's soccer programs at Santa Clara.
