2015: Started every one of the team's 56 games in the outfield...batted a team-high .439 (79-for-180) with program-record 19 doubles and one home run...scored 53 times and drove in 42...slugged .561, third on the team and had an on-base percentage of .514 hitting in the two hole...posted a 17-game hitting streak from 2/28 to 3/25, in which she batted .491 (27-for-55) with 14 runs and 13 RBI ...among 24 multi-hit games, twice rapped out a single-game high four hits versus Illinois-Chicago (2/21) and at San Diego State (4/10)...enjoyed eight multi-RBI games, driving in a season-high four against Pacific (3/25)...scored multiple runs in 19 games and six times, versus Utah Valley (2/7 & 3/13), Loyola Marymount (2/15), Iowa (3/6), Nevada (5/3) and at New Mexico (5/7), crossed the plate a single-game high of three times...lone home run came at New Mexico (5/7)...hit .459 with runner on, .462 with the bases loaded, .500 leading off an inning, .667 with a runner on third and less than two outs and was successful in advancing runners at a .661 clip...drove in 13 runs with two outs...earned 30 base on balls...fielding percentage of .949. DELAWARE STATE: Attended and competed for the Hornets (coach Janice Savage) in 2013 and 2014... honored as a first-team All-Mid Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) performer in 2014 when she batted .400 with 41 RBI on 64 hits, including 14 doubles, two triples and four homers while scoring 37 runs...earned MEAC Academic honors in 2014...as a freshman she hit .360 with 31 RBI on 62 hits, including 11 doubles, one triple and five homers while scoring 41 runs.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Foothill High School in Santa Ana, Calif...a three-year letterwinner (coach Vince Brown)...Earned first-team All-Seaview League honors as a senior and second-team All-Seaview League distinction as a sophomore.
JESSICA: Majoring in kinesiology...wants to pursue a career in sports medicine...played club ball for California Lite (coaches Pam Newton & Francisco Rodriguez)...the daughter of Ana Estrada and Nathan Madrid...a native of Santa Ana, Calif., Jessica Nicole Madrid was born March 4, 1994.
