Kaizaki started at SJSU as an Athletic Training Student in Fall 2019. After completing
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, she joined the SJSU Sports Medicine team in 2021 as an
Assistant Athletic Trainer (AT) for Women’s gymnastics team (WGYM).
After working for a year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, Kaizaki decided to pursue Master’s in
Sport Management at her current school. She has been studying the major since the Fall semester
of 2022 while still working with the WGYM team as a graduate assistant AT. She is expected to
finish a Master's in Sport Management in Spring 2024.
Working as a female AT, Kaizaki received National Girls and Women’s in Sports Day Honoree
in 2022. Since then, she continues to contribute to the Sports industry as a female force by
helping out with female teams at SJSU and being a support for many SJSU Student-athletes.
Kaizaki is certified in Dry Needling and is eager to continue education in advanced Dry
Needling courses.
As her major in her Master’s suggests, she is also interested in Sport Management.
Working in a smaller team, such as WGYM, she wishes to facilitate the collaboration between
subsections within the team by utilizing the knowledge acquired through the program. As her
graduation project suggests, Kaizaki is also looking to learn and help with connection between
Division I school and NPO to create smoother access for medical needs for Student-athletes.
Not only Sports Medicine, Kaizaki also wishes to help Student-athletes with cultural adaptation
as SJSU welcomes many international students. Kaizaki was born and raised in Japan and started
studying in the U.S. in 2018 after graduating from high school.
With a TOEFL score of 103, Kaizaki is able to help with English language and translation to Japanese, as well as helping
international student athletes acclimate to the U.S. culture and customs.
