Andrew Ngo is in his second season as volunteer assistant coach for the women’s tennis team. He brings over 35 years of playing and coaching experience to the Spartans.
Ngo attended San José State and competed on the Spartans men’s tennis team for the 1994-95 season. Prior to attending SJSU, he played at Cal Poly from 1992-94 and West Valley College from 1990-92.
He has been ranked in the top-five in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Northern California open doubles rankings since 2006 and has also captured USTA Northern California Doubles Team of the Year honors twice; in 2006 with Jim Cushing and 2012 with Ryan Sablan.
Ngo was a tennis instructor at the Santa Clara Golf and Tennis Club from 1990-92 and an athletic trainer for the USTA Northern California Certified Regional Training Camps from 2012-15.
A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Ngo opened a private practice in 2001 and helps correct his tennis patients’ biomechanics to prevent future injuries.
Ngo resides in San Jose, Calif. with his wife, Thuy, and son, Matthew.
