Second season at San José State…2015-16 Mountain West Scholar Athlete…two-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree.

2016: Played in 20 matches and 47 sets...averaged 1.36 digs and 0.17 aces per set...two assists against Houston Baptist...three aces against Long Beach State and two aces against Louisiana Monroe and UC Santa Barbara...career-best 14 digs against Louisiana Monroe...added 12 digs versus Long Beach State and nine at Wyoming.

2015:  Saw action in 22 matches 49 sets…back-to-back aces against #21 Colorado State…two aces against Boise State…other aces against Wyoming and Incarnate Word…six digs at UTRGV and five at Central Michigan…three digs at Air Force and two at Utah State.

JUNIOR COLLEGE:  Played two indoor seasons at De Anza College for former Spartan Dawnis (Wilson) Guevara…and all-conference selection.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Graduated from Piedmont Hills High School in 2012…three-year varsity letterwinner for head coach Matt Largo.

PERSONAL:  Majoring in hospitality management with an emphasis on events…would like to be an events coordinator after graduation…two-time Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar – first team for volleyball (2016 & 2017)…San José State Dean’s Scholar…two-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree…likes traveling and hanging out with family...Chi Sam was born on July 20, 1994, in San Jose.
