Lanessa Lozano was appointed the Assistant Cheerleading coach for San Jose State University in 2017.
She was a competitive all-star cheerleader for University Cheer Force and competed with their level 5 and level 3 teams. She has a multitude of various local, regional,and national titles with UCF. Lozano has also competed at the International level as
well.
Lozano has competed in gymnastics, and various styles of dance. She has also performed on the Sacramento Broadway stage in the urban hip-hop version of “The Nutcracker”, titled “The Nutty Nutcracker”.
She went on to pursue collegiate cheerleading at San Jose State University where she cheered for four years. She was a part of the teams that took back-to- back first place titles at the USA Collegiate Championship in 2014 and 2015, and second place at the same championship in 2015 and 2016. During her career she was voted MVP her Junior and Senior seasons, as well as Academic Excellence awards all four years.She studied Communication Studies and Public Relations during her undergraduate career.
In addition to being a collegiate cheerleader, she served four years as a Camp Instructor for a full-service cheerleading company, influencing the lives of high school and youth athletes across the Bay Area. She also has experience serving as
both a head judge and panel judge at youth cheerleading competitions.
Aside from cheerleading, Lozano is passionate about health and fitness. Lozano competes in physique competitions with the NPC and PNBA. In 2016 she earned her Pro-Card with the PNBA (Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association).
Lozano hopes to become a Head Coach of a collegiate cheerleading program in her future, while pursuing a career in public relations.
