This week the San José State baseball team hits the practice field as a team for the first time this season, and head coach Dave Nakama is excited for his first look at the 2013-14 team.
The team's wave of 22 new players and it's group of savvy veterans, including Matt Carroll, Matt Lopez, Andre Mercurio and Jacob Valdez, all took to the field to begin preparation for SJSU's inaugural season in the Mountain West.
