He became the first freshman tight end in school history to have a 100-plus yard receiving game when he caught six passes for 119 yards in the Wyoming win on October 26.
The CFPA acknowledgement marks the second time in a five-day span the sophomore from Mesa, Ariz., is named to a Watch List. Recently, he was named to the John Mackey Award Watch List recognizing the top tight end in the country.
Now in its seventh year, the College Football Performance Awards program prides itself on using the most scientifically rigorous measurements to select its weekly and yearly award winners. The CFPA ranks player and team success across all three phases of the game -- offense, defense, and special teams.
