The San José State women's outdoor track and field team will be competing in a full slate of events this Saturday at the Longhorn Invitational on the University of Texas campus. It will be the Spartans' final tune-up before the Mountain West Championships on May 13-16.

The meet begins with field events starting at 11:00 a.m. PT. The Spartans have entries in the long jump, high jump, triple jump and shot put events. Four jumpers: Leah Lambert, Jade Childs, Kelsey Johnson-Upshaw and school-record holder Cambree Harbaugh are all entered in the long jump. Emma Sutherland will take flight in the high jump and Harbaugh will also join Nicole Iloanya in the triple jump.

Track events are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. PT.

Heading up the sprint group are Caitlin Wilson and Maija Pinkins, racing in both the 200 and 400-meter dashes. Johnson-Upshaw and Madiha Raza are set to compete in the 100-meter dash.

Makayla Webb will have another shot at lowering her personal-best time in the 400-hurdles, as she did last weekend at the Bulldog Invitational. Webb and Childs will also race in the 100-hurdles.

Jennifer Beckingham is set to compete in the 800 and in the 1500-meter events alongside Angelica Parodi. While Rebecca Garcia and Lalida Maokhamphiou will lineup for the 3000-meter steeplechase.

The Spartans' final event of the day, the 4x400-meter relay, is scheduled to take place at 7:00 p.m. PT. Wilson, Webb, Pinkins and Beckingham will be San José State's four in the relay.

Live stats will be provided by the University of Texas and can be accessed through the women's track and field schedule and results page.
