Spartans Play Two On Friday At Louisville Slugger Invitational

San Jose, Calif. - The San José State softball team makes its first appearance in northern California this week when it competes in the Louisville Slugger Invitational hosted by The University of the Pacific. On Friday afternoon, the Spartans will play a pair of games on UOP's Bill Simoni Field.

SJSU enters Friday's doubleheader with a 6-15 record after going 1-4 at last weekend at the Judi Garman Classic.

The Spartans top hitter is senior Jessica Madrid. She is batting .393 (24-for-61, 11R, 4RBI). Brittany Abacherli leads the team in runs (16), home runs, (4), RBI (18), and is 5-for-5 in stolen bases.
