Flagstaff, Ariz.----- San Jose State University's Cari Reiswig made it two-for-two in final events at the Northern Arizona Lumberjack Invitational diving meet.
The senior from Galt, Calif., made her second finals event in two days, improved her standing and finished 11th in a 32-diver field with a score of 535.85.
"We had another successful day at the pool today. I'm very happy with our performances in a field with teams from three top conferences, including two Pac-12 teams. Cari made another final in what is a tremendously talented field," said San Jose State diving coach Mark Butcher.
Sharae Zheng of Nevada won the 3-meter competition with a 785.50 score. The 12 finalists came from four Arizona State divers, three from host Northern Arizona, two each from California and Nevada, and San Jose State's Reiswig.
Natasha Sondeno and Kylie Fonseca also competed for the Spartans. Sondeno was 19th at 242.00; fonseca, 20th at 237.35
"Kylie went out and had some phenomenal dives today. We are building her difficulty," Butcher said. "...Once all the dives are back on track, she will be a force.
"Tasha had some great dives today as well. This being a midseason invite, Tasha does not have her competition list where it will be at the end of the season. We are introducing many new more difficult dives into Tasha's lists on all three boards, so the learning curve is a little steeper for this stage of the season.
"We have platform tomorrow, and should see some great performances from all four Spartan divers."
The meet concludes with the platform event starting at 11:00 a.m. (MT) in the aquatic & Tennis Complex on the Northern Arizona campus.
