San Jose, Calif. --- Eight San José State men's water polo players were named to the 2017 Golden Coast Conference Men's All-Academic Team in an announcement made by the conference office.
The eight members of the 2017 water polo team met the conference criteria of maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and playing in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.

"I am super excited for these guys to receive this honor because it shows the type of student-athlete that we have in this program," said head coach Bruce Watson. "They work very hard in school to earn their degrees, and we are thankful to the Golden Coast Conference recognizing their excellence in the classroom."
The GCC honored 45 student-athletes from its six programs.
