Los Angeles, Calif.----- Junior Natasha Sondeno was the top San Jose State University finisher in the 3-meter event at the Bruin Invitational diving meet.
Sondeno posted a six-dive score of 225.50 and finished in 29th place. There were 60 divers from West Coast and Rocky Mountain areas competing for top honors. Sondeno's total was sixth best among Mountain West divers in the event.
Megan Au, with a 208.80 total for 42nd place and Eri Tamada placed 57th with a 175.55 also competed for the Spartans.
The top-18 finishers advanced to the championship final round of six additional dives. A score of 251.05 was the lowest advancing score to the final.
Sondeno and Tamada will be back in action, Saturday, January 19, in the platform diving event beginning at noon (PST).
