Women's Gymnastics
This Week: San José State returns to The Event Center this Friday night for a meet with Sacramento State and New Hampshire at 7 p.m.
Last Week: The Spartans scored a 192.500 at Sacramento State including a 48.475 by the vault team.
Spartan Fact: Chelsey Andrada is now the 8th Spartan in school history to score a 9.900 on beam after winning the event at Sacramento State last Friday. It is the 11th time in school history that a Spartan received a 9.900 on beam.

Men's Basketball (3-19, 0-10)
This Week: San José State continues on the road this Wednesday at New Mexico before returning home to face UNLV Saturday afternoon.
Last Week: The Spartans fell at Boise State, 105-57, this past Saturday afternoon.
Spartan Fact: Noah Baumann extended his three-point field goals made record to 20 games on Saturday. He is one shy of tying the record of 21 consecutive made, set by Robert Owens during the 2009-10 season.

Women's Basketball (2-19, 1-9)
This Week: The Spartans host New Mexico Wednesday night before playing at UNLV on Saturday.
Last Week: San José State lost to two-time defending MW champion Boise State, 83-69, last Saturday afternoon.
Spartan Fact: Analyss Benally scored a career-high 17 points in the game against Boise State, her second consecutive double-digit scoring game and sixth of the season. She was 4-for-9 from the field including 4-of-7 from three-point range and was a perfect 5-for-5 at the free throw line.

Baseball (0-0)
This Week: The Spartans open the 2019 season with a four-game series against Santa Clara. The two teams play Friday and Sunday at Municipal Stadium and Saturday at Stephen Schott Stadium.
Spartan Fact: Senior Andrew Mitchel, a left-hander from Atwater, Calif., was a second team ABCA/Rawlings West All-Region honoree and the 2018 Mountain West Co-Pitcher of the Year, as well as a first team All-Mountain West selection. He was the first player to eclipse 100 strikeouts in 14 years and led the conference with 10.45 strikeouts per nine innings.

Men's Golf
This Week: The Spartans are practicing this week for the Southwestern Intercollegiate on February 25-26.
Last Week: The San Jose State men's golf team finished 14th at the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawaii.
Spartan Fact: Kevin Velo was one of 12 college players who competed at the 2019 Genesis Open Collegiate Showcase on February 11, at the Riviera Country Club.

February 25-26 - Southwestern Intercollegiate in Westlake Village, Calif.

Softball (3-3)
This Week: The Spartan softball team travels to Las Cruces, N.M., for the Troy Cox Classic this weekend. The team will play five games over the three games.
Last Week: The team started the season 3-3 at the Lion Classic in Hammond, La.
Spartan Fact: Makayla Englestad started the season 7-for-12 at the plate with a .583 batting average. She had two doubles and four walks in six games played.

Women's Swimming & Diving
This Week: The Spartans are preparing for the 2019 MW Championships in Minneapolis, February 20-23.
Last Time: Brenna Bushey and Taylor Lehr each had a victory in the team's final dual meet at Fresno State. Bushey captured the 100 fly, her specialty, and Lehr touched first in the 100 free.
Spartan Fact: Six San José State seniors will be complete their career at the Mountain West Championships - Megan Au, Brenna Bushey, Kimberlee Giggey, Kendal Guy, Taylor Lehr, and Eri Tamada.

Women's Tennis (3-0)
This Week: The Spartans return to Spartan Tennis Complex for a match Friday against San Francisco.
Last Match: The Spartans won 4-3 at Santa Clara in a dual that took two day to finish. Miyo Kobayashi battled back from a one-set deficit to post a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Santa Clara University's Katya Tabachnik and give the Spartans a 4-3 team victory.
Spartan Fact: Sophomore Savannah Sendar and freshman Klara Milojkovic each are 3-0 in dual match singles action.

Indoor Track & Field
This Week: The Spartans continue training for their next indoor competition - the Mountain West Championships February 21-23.
Last Week: San José State traveled to Idaho for the Bronco Team Challenge.
Spartan Fact (Women's): Silvia Gutierrez, a junior, had a season-best throw of 50-feet-2.00 in only her second meet at the major collegiate level. Her previous best was 49-feet-11.75 at the King Collegiate Invitational three weeks earlier in Albuquerque, N.M.
Spartan Fact (Men's): Craig Huff and Jose Piña finished 2-3 overall and 1-2 among collegiate entries in the 3000-meter run. Running the indoor 3,000 for the first time this season, Huff posted an 8:28.05 time. Piña was right behind at 8:30.09.  Edgar Bonilla also finished in the top-10 in the race for the Spartans at 8:44.11.

Women's Water Polo (2-1)
This Week: San José State hosts an exhibition match against a Chinese national touring team on Wednesday, February 13.
Last Time: The Spartans split a pair of matches at the California Cup, defeating #11 Long Beach State, 15-8, before falling to #2 Stanford 19-4.
Spartan Fact: Freshman Olga Descalzi Portell is one of the MPSF's top scorers averaging 2.67 goals per match.
