Fairfax, Calif.—San José State women's golfers dotted the top-15 individual standings of the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational, and San José State finished third in the 12-team tournament on Tuesday.
Abegail Arevalo was the top Spartan finisher as she finished fourth at one-under 215, her sixth top-10 this season. She shot a one-under 71 in the final round with two birdies, a bogey and 15 pars during the round.
Natasha Andrea Oon tied for fifth at even-par 216 after shooting a one-over 73 in round three. She made two birdies and 13 pars during the round.
Franziska Friedrich recorded her first top-15 finish of the season as she tied for 14th at three-over 219. She shot a 74 in the final round with two birdies and 12 pars on the day.
Alexandra Cooper had her best round of the tournament with a 73 and finished tied for 21st at six-over 222. She made two birdies and 13 pars, and at one point made par on nine of her 10 holes played.
Antonia Malate finished tied for 69th at 241 and shot a 76 on Tuesday for her best round of the tournament.
Maddie White, playing as an individual, finished tied for 12th at two-over 218. She made only one birdie during her final round with 13 pars and four bogeys.
The Spartans shot a 291 in the final round to move into third place. The team made 10 birdies on the day and finished with 38 birdies for the tourney.
Rutgers swept the team and individual titles, winning by two shots over Cal and four over the Spartans. Harriet Allsebrook won the individual title at nine-under 207.
