Stockton, Calif.—The San José State beach volleyball team extended its winning streak to four duals as the Spartans swept Pacific, 5-0, Saturday afternoon in Stockton.
All five matches went just two sets. Caitlin Bettenay and Tabea Schwarz won 23-21, 21-11, while Giulia Gávio and Luiza Andrade won 21-16, 21-16. Ryann Thomison and Fernanda Vido won 21-14 and 21-13.
Julia Golbeck and Sarah Smevog won easily, 21-4, 21-5, as did Thaliana Grajeda and Kaitlynn Zdroik, 21-8, 21-5. Ciara Reistad and Haylee Nelson won their exhibition match 21-14, 21-3.
The Spartans are now 9-6 on the season. The team competes next Friday, March 29, at California beginning at 1 p.m.
