SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose State Athletics celebrated the on and off the field accomplishments of its teams at their annual Sammy Awards Tuesday evening in a banquet presented by the SJSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The awards celebrated both team and individual accolades from the 2018-19 seasons.

Female Newcomer of the Year – Natasha Andrea Oon, Women's Golf
Male Individual Performance of the Year – Andrew Mitchel, Baseball
Female Individual Performance of the Year – Taylor Chan, Gymnastics
Iron Spartan Award – Andrew Mitchel, Baseball, and Kaitlynn Zdroik, Volleyball and Beach Volleyball
Male Student-Athlete of the Year Award – Josh Oliver, Football
Female Student-Athlete of the Year Award – Abegail Arevalo, Women's Golf
Male and Female Team Performances of the Year – Men's Golf at Western Intercollegiate/Women's Golf at the NCAA Regional and Women's Soccer at MW Championship
