This Week in San José State Athletics is here to catch you up on last week's action and see what's ahead for the Spartans!
Please note - In accordance with the SJSU Adapt Plan that restricts visitors to campus facilities, the San José State University Athletics Department will continue the policy of no fans at home sporting events for the remainder of the 2021 spring semester.
San José State is currently in "Phase 2: Modified Campus" which restricts visitors to campus facilities to essential staff or those who need to work on campus for instructional purposes.

Women's Tennis (12-0, 5-0)
This Week: The Spartans continue playing on the road this week with matches taking place in Colorado Springs, Colo. The team plays New Mexico in a neutral-site match on Saturday and Air Force on Sunday.
Last Week: The Spartans went 2-0 last weekend, defeating Boise State, 4-1, and Utah State, 4-3, to remain undefeated.
Spartan Fact: San José State has matched the longest winning streak in school history at 12 matches, also accomplished during the 2012 season.
Spartan Fact #2: The Spartans are one of three Division I schools that are still undefeated on the season - #1 North Carolina 22-0 and #43 Florida International 9-0.

Men's Soccer (5-1-2, 5-1-2 WAC)
This Week: The sizzling Spartans are headed to Las Vegas for the WAC Tournament. Their postseason run is set to kickoff on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. against Air Force in the quarterfinal round.
Last Week: San Jose State won its only match of the week, a 1-0 thriller over UNLV on Monday that marked the team's fourth straight victory. The following day, senior Rudi Castro was named the United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Week.
Spartan Fact: The Spartans have tallied 27 assists through eight matches, ranking the team No. 2 nationally in assists per match (3.38) at the culmination of the regular season.

This Week: The Spartans return to action for three contests this week, hosting UNLV at Excite Ballpark on Saturday and Sunday.
Last Week: San Jose State dropped its only game of the week on the road against San Francisco. The Dons topped SJSU 7-1 in the Tuesday afternoon affair.
Spartan Fact: Senior right-hander Spencer Long (2-0) has earned a win in both of his appearances on the season. Long boasts an ERA of 2.08 and has tallied eight strikeouts.

This Week: The Spartans are preparing for the 2021 Mountain West Championships next week at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Last Week: The Spartans tied for seventh with Iowa State at the Silverado Showdown last week. Kajsa Arwefjäll recorded her fifth top-10 finish of the season as she tied for eighth place at two-over 218.
Spartan Fact: Arwefjäll has been named the MW Golfer of the Week four times this season. She was honored last week after her eighth-place finish at the Silverado Showdown. She shot 74-72-72 for her three rounds.

Men's Golf
This Week: The team is playing at the 74th Western Intercollegiate presented by Topgolf, April 12-14, at the Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, Calif. The GOLF Channel will provide three hours of live coverage each day. Monday and Tuesday coverage begins at 4:00 p.m. (PT)/7:00 p.m. (ET). Wednesday's live coverage starts at 1:00 p.m. (PT)/4:00 p.m. (ET).

Last Week: The Spartans came off of their two-week pause to take on Boise State with three home games. SJSU was swept by the Broncos.
Spartan Fact: Senior Rayohna Sagapolu made her season debut in games two and three against the Broncos. She scored the Spartans' lone run in their 4-1 loss in game three.

Spartan Fact: Jankans set a personal-best and Mountain West-leading mark in the high jump with a mark of 2.11m in Fullerton.

Spartan Facts: Junior goalkeeper Zoe Aguirre was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week for the week of April 1st after recording a pair of shutouts.
Volleyball (7-9, 7-9)
This Week: Two Spartans were named to the All-Mountain West team on Monday. Haylee Nelson and Latahevai Lousi were named to the team for the second time in her Spartan career.
Spartan Fact: San José State was the only team in the Mountain West to play all 16 matches this season without a stop during the season.
