SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Lior Ben David scored five goals to help lead the Spartans in their 13-7 win against No. 24 Marist College (8-5), while Lucy Miszewski led the second match, scoring 2 goals in the Spartans( 6-9) 6-5 win over No. 25 CSU Northridge (7-3).
Match 1 VS No. 24 Marist College:
- Sinia Plotz and Ryann Lucchesi each scored two goals, while Miszewski, Renee Fleming, Maiken Pardon, and Kylee Jansen contributed one goal each.
- Fleming led the team in assists tallying two.
- Genevieve Larkin and Ben David won all their sprints to give the Spartans starting possession in the first, second, and third quarters.
- The Spartans outscored Marist in the first second and third quarters to win the game.
Match 2 VS No.25 CSU Northridge
- Luchessi, Plotz, Pardon, and Ben David also scored in the match.
- Plotz, Larkin, and Jansen each tallied one assist.
- Hannah Henry was on fire recording 11 saves and three steals.
- Miszewski scored the winning goal to continue the Spartans four game winning streak.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will continue the Santa Clara Tournament tomorrow February 19th at 12:00 p.m. at the Sullivan Aquatic Center.
