SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Genevieve Larkin was on fire in the first match scoring four goals and contributing two assists to lead the Spartans in their 18-1 win over CSU Monterey Bay (3-12), while Kylee Jansen scored two goals and drew five exclusions to help lead SJSU (7-10) in their 10-7 loss to Brown (9-1). The Spartans closed out the Santa Clara tournament with three wins and one loss.
Match One VS CSU Monterey Bay
- Kielle Leggo tallied three goals in the match, while Sinia Plotz, Ivanna Anderson-Villela and Ryann Lucchesi each scored two goals, and Renee Fleming, Belene Rodriguez, Lucy Miszewski, Catie Kelly, and Jansen all added one goal.
- Goalkeeper Hannah Henry had a 100% save percentage in the two quarters she played and assisted three goals.
- Anderson-Villela led the team in steals tallying three.
- The Spartans won all four sprints to start with possession each quarter.
Match Two VS Brown
- Clarissa Wandinger contributed two goals in the match, while Miszewski, Lucchesi, and Pardon scored one goal each.
- Wandinger tallied two assists in the match.
- Henry recorded six saves and a steal.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will return to Santa Clara University next Saturday to face CSU East Bay at 1:00 p.m. and Santa Clara University at 4:00 p.m.
