Sinia Plotz Named MPSF Newcomer of the Week

SAN JOSE, Calif.- For her important role in San Jose State University winning three out of four matches at the Santa Clara women's water polo tournament, Sinia Plotz is the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Newcomer of the Week.

Sinia Plotz, 2m-D, Duisburg, Germany/ Mannesmann Gymnasium

  • Plotz was the second leading scorer this weekend tallying five goals. 
  • In the first game of the weekend, she tallied two goals to help the Spartans win against Marist College 13-7
  • In the 6-5 win against CSUN, she scored one goal and added an assist.
  • In the third game of the weekend, she scored two goals and an assist to help SJSU win 18-1 against CSU Monterey Bay.   
  • USC's Tilly Kearns is this week's MPSF Player of the Week with Lior Ben David being the runner up. Ben David was the leading scorer for the Spartans this weekend tallying six goals and an assist. 

 
UP NEXT: The Spartans will return to Santa Clara University next Saturday to face CSU East Bay at 1:00 p.m. and Santa Clara University at 4:00 p.m.
