Spartans Have Strong Offensive Showing in 3-3 Draw Against UC Irvine

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Bella Flocchini, Kennedy Mayo and Sabrina Weinman each scored a goal to lead the San José State women's soccer team (1-2-2, 0-0-0 Mountain West) in a 3-3 draw against UC Irvine (2-2-1, 0-0-0 Big West) on Thursday night. 

  • All three goals were unassisted as Mayo and Flocchini scored on breakaways off turnovers while Weinman buried a free kick.
  • Flocchini's goal was her team-leading third goal of the year.
  • All five of the Spartans' shots were on target.
  • Bente Pernot made three saves.
  • Kayla Fortenberry, Evan House and Kiana Miyazato each played all 90 minutes.
