SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State men's water polo team will open the 2023 season on the road at the Aggie Invitational in Davis, Calif. at the Schaal Aquatics Center. The Spartans will take on UC Merced at 9:00 a.m. and No.4 UC Davis at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9th. They will wrap up the weekend against West Valley College at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 10th.
- SJSU finished the 2022 season ranked in the top 15.
- Bende Pardi (Second Team) and Bence Szabo (Honorable Mention) were selected to the GCC All-Conference Team.
- Erik Duesund was selected to the GCC All-Freshmen team.
- The Spartans rattled off five straight victories throughout the month of October both on the road and at home.
- 15 Spartans Earn National Academic Honors.

- The Spartans add ten new players to the 2023 roster: Brendon Gyapjas, Alexey Poletaev, Péter Kolos Kahári, Nathan Correia, Rafael Ventura, Giancarlo Marquez, Louis Fehrensen, Michael Montoro, Mateja Bosić, and Mitchell Keightley.
- Junior Bence Szabo was named to the West Coast Conference (WCC) Preseason Team.
