SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Sinia Plotz had a hat trick and an assist to lead the No. 16 San José State women's water polo team to a 13-6 win over Cal State East Bay on Sunday. Darcy Spark scored three goals and had two steals for the Spartans in their 8-7 loss to Brown to close out the weekend as SJSU went 2-2 at the Bronco Invitational.

- Jennine Osorio, Maiken Pardon, Renee Fleming, Spark, Mackenzy Clark, Paxtyn Reihs and Lucy Miszewski also scored during the match.
- Goalkeeper Zsofia Hadju played all four quarters tallying 11 saves.
- The Spartans won three out of the four sprints.
- Ivanna Anderson-Villela, Osorio, and Clark played strong defense, recording two steals each.
- Pardon led the team in drawn exclusions with three to give multiple power play opportunities.
Brown 8, Spartans 7
- Plotz and Flemming scored two goals each during the match.
- Ryann Lucchesi had five drawn exclusions to gain multiple power play opportunities.
- Grace Smith had 5 saves during the match and had one assist.
- Flemming led the team in steals, tallying three.
