SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sinia Plotz scored five goals and had two assists to lead the No. 21 San José State women's water polo team in their 13-12 double-overtime win against No. 13 UCSB.
- Ryann Luccesi scored the golden goal at 1:45 in the third overtime period to end the game.
- Grace Smith was on fire recording 11 blocks and one steal during the match.
- Luccesi scored three goals to record her first hat trick of the season.
- Ivanna Anderson-Villela, Darcy Spark, Maiken Pardon, and Renee Fleming also scored.
- Fleming and Plotz both had crucial field blocks to stop the Gauchos from scoring.
- Anderson-Villela won five sprints to give the Spartans starting possession of the ball.
- Plotz and Luccesi led the team in drawn exclusions with three each gaining multiple power play opportunities for the Spartans.
