CARLSBAD, Calif.—San José State women’s golfers Rebecca Gyllner and Louisa Carlbom have advanced to the final round of stroke play at the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships in pursuit of the Individual Title on Monday. The Spartans finished the three rounds tying for 17th place at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa North Course.
- Gyllner, a second team All-Mountain West honoree, shot a 1-over 73, and is tied for 21st at 2-over 218.
- Gyllner made four birdies during the round and shot a 35 over her final nine holes.

- Carlbom is tied for 27th at 3-over 219, after shooting a 73 on Sunday. She made just one birdie during the round, but made it at the right time on the par-5 18th hole to finish her day.

- The two are chasing Adela Cernousek from Texas A&M who is in first place at 12-under 204 after shooting a 68 in each round.
- This is the second consecutive year that two Spartans have advanced to the fourth round to play for the individual title. Last year, Lopez Ortega tied for second, while Arwefjäll tied for 18th.
- San José State finished the three round tied for 17th with the fellow Spartans from Michigan State at 28-over par.
- The Spartans shot a 302 on Sunday, led by Gyllner and Carlbom with their 73s.
- Kajsa Arwefjäll finished her Spartan career with a 77 in the final round, finishing the day birdie-par. She tied for 71st at 9-over par.
- Lucia Lopez Ortega shot a 7-over 79 to tie for 106th place at 14-over par, while Moa Andersson finished in 148th place.

UP NEXT – Fourth round action for Gyllner and Carlbom begins at 12:51 pm off of the 10th tee. The two are playing together along with Grace Kilcrease. The GOLF Channel and Peacock will be live from the championship beginning at 3 p.m. PT.
