SAN JOSE, Calif.—Nayeli Ti’a returned to full-time action for the Spartans and recorded her seventh double-double of the season to help lead the San José State volleyball team to a 3-2 win over Air Force Thursday night in a Mountain West match inside Spartan Gym.
- Ti’a, who missed time due to an injury, had 10 kills and a team-high 16 digs in the match.
- She also led the serving attack with a career-best five aces.
- The Spartans (12-3, 8-3) had 12 aces in the match, the third time in four matches with double-digit aces.
- Blaire Fleming led the team with 19 kills and added eight digs and three blocks.
- Brooke Slusser had her sixth double-double of the season with 16 assists and 13 digs. She also had three kills, three aces and two blocks.
- SJSU recorded 11 blocks against the Falcons, the seventh time the team has recorded double-digit blocks this season. Jade Epps led the Spartan block with six block assists.
- Brooke Bryant and Emma Testi each had four blocks in the win
- The Spartans trailed 10-6 in the fifth set before tying the set at 11-11 and winning on a Falcon service error.
