DAVIS, Calif.—Six Spartans scored two or more goals, led by Bridget Cranley with five, in a 25-7 victory for the No. 17 San José State women’s water polo team over UC Merced Saturday afternoon at the Aggie Invitational. The Spartans fell in their first match of the day, 17-6, to No. 4 California.
- Cranley was one of 17 Spartans to score a goal against UC Merced.
- Sarah Woren and Jessica Ross each score three times.
- Nynke Willemsen, Mackenzy Clark, and Sally Gonzalez Aguilar each tallied two goals in the win.
- Eight others scored once – Darcy Spark, Emma Ruzic, Genevieve Larkin, Catie Kelly, Jennine Osorio, Isabella Adams, Renee Fleming and Rose Jensen.
- Against the Golden Bears, Spark led the team with three goals, while Woren scored twice and Ruzic added a goal.
UP NEXT – The Spartans host No. 23 San Diego State on Sunday, February 9, at 1 p.m. inside the SRAC. Admission is free for all.
