- Scudero was named a Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist this season. This is the second consecutive season a Spartan (Nick Nash) has been named a Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist. Nash was the first SJSU Biletnikoff Award Finalist last season.
- Scudero has gone over 100 receiving yards in six out of 11 games at SJSU, and his 215 receiving yards vs. Hawai‘i (11/01), 189 receiving yards against CMU (8/29) and 180 receiving yards at Wyoming (10/11) are the sixth, 14th and 21st most single-game receiving yards in the NCAA this season.
- Scudero's 215 receiving yards vs. Hawai‘i (11/01) are the most in a single game this season in the Mountain West and Scudero owns three of the top five receiving performances in the MW this season.
- According to Stats Perform, Scudero has six receiving touchdowns over 40 yards this season and is one behind Jalen Royals of Utah State, who had seven in 2023 for the most in the Mountain West since 1996.
- If a freshman quarterback starts for the Spartans on Saturday, it will be the first time a freshman quarterback has started for the Spartans since Montel Aaron (he was a redshirt freshman) in 2017.
- The last true freshman to start at quarterback for the Spartans was Marcus Arroyo in 1998.
- True freshman Steve Chavez-Soto had three rushing touchdowns against Hawai‘i (11/01) to earn Old Trapper Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors. Chavez-Soto has 398 rushing yards, seven touchdowns and is averaging 5.1 yards a carry in only seven games.
- Chavez-Soto is sixth in the country with his seven rushing touchdowns among freshman running backs.
