Michael Breen was named a San José State volunteer assistant coach in February 2018 and is wrapping up his second season in the role on Brad Sanfilippo's staff.
As a volunteer assistant coach, Breen serves as the first base coach and also works with the infielders with positioning and offensive development.
During the Fall of 2017 Breen served as a graduate assistant on the team. He helped with the day to day baseball operations and assisted with the teams social media platforms. He also helped with scholastic advising. In the semester Breen helped advise in, the team achieved a 3.0 overall GPA.
Breen is currently in his second year of graduate school pursuing a Masters Degree in Sports Management.
He earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from San José State University in 2017. He was a four-year player for the Spartans from 2014-17 making 97 starts and 134 appearances.
