Spartans Fall Short at Day 1 of Davis Invitational

DAVIS, Calif. - Lior Ben David scored two goals and added an assist in the No.19 Spartans (2-8) 7 -10 loss to No. 11 Pacific (6-1), while Maiken Pardon contributed two goals and two steals in the Spartans 7-9 loss to No.17 UC Davis (4-6).  

vs No.11 Pacific

  • Olga Descalzi, Pardon, Belene Rodriguez, and Kylee Jansen also scored. 
  • Goalkeeper Hannah Henry recorded 12 saves and scored a goal. 
  • The Spartans won three of the four sprints. 

vs No.17 Davis 

  • Descalzi also scored two goals for the Spartans. 
  • Sinia Plotz, Clarissa Wandinger, and Kylee Jansen each added one goal. 
  • Ben David contributed three assists and a steal.
  • Wandinger led the team in drawn exclusions tallying three.
