Six Spartans Named to MW 25th Season Women's Golf Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—San José State current women’s golfers Kajsa Arwefjäll and Lucia Lopez Ortega along with former Spartans My Leander, Abegail Arevalo, Natasha Andrea Oon and Antonia Malate have been selected to the Mountain West 25th Season Women’s Golf team. 

The conference is celebrating its 25th Season of excellence on and off the field of play and recognizing a 25th Season Team during each MW Championship.

Kajsa Arwefjäll, 2020-C

  • 2022-23 MW Player of the Year
  • Three-time First Team All-MW
  • 23 Top-10 finishes
  • Two individual titles
  • 2022-23 WGCA Second Team All-America
  • 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur – T26th
  • 2023 World Amateur Team Championship
  • 2023 Women’s Amateur Championship - quarterfinals
  • 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur – shot +6 for two rounds
  • 2022 Arnold Palmer Cup selection
  • 2021 NCAA Championship Individual Qualifier – T36th
  • Four-time WGCA All-American Scholar
