PALM DESERT, Calif.—Regina Roldan and Tessa Kremser each shot a 3-over 74 to lead the San José State women’s golf team in the first round of the Alice and John Wallace Women’s Golf Classic at the Monterey Country Club. The Spartans finished the first round in 14th place at 23-over 307.
- Roldan led the Spartan team with her 74. She is tied for 26th, making a birdie on her first hole and finishing the round with seven straight pars made.
- Isabella Cioe is tied for 51st at 5-over 76, making two birdies and 10 pars during her round.
- Moa Andersson shot a 7-over 78 to tie for 68th, while Lotte Shuhr is tied for 75th at 8-over 79.
- Kleopatra Kozakiewicz is tied for 88th at 11-over 82.
- Kremser, playing as an individual, is also tied for 26th with her 74. She made birdies on holes six and 18.
UP NEXT – The second round begins Sunday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The Spartans start on holes 12, 13 and 14.
