Spartans Finish 13th At Therese Hession Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif.—Moa Andersson and Lotte Schuhr each shot even par to lead the San José State women’s golf team in the final round of the Therese Heesion Regional Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. The Spartans finished 13th in the team standings.

  • Andersson shot an even-par 71 to finish tied for 63rd at 13-over. She made four birdies during the final round, including her final two holes (#14 & #15). 
  • She finished the tournament with 10 birdies made, tying for 14th among the field.
  • Schuhr also shot an even-par 71, and tied for 53rd at 11-over, 224. She made three birdies and 13 pars during the round.
  • Kleopatra Kozakiewicz was the team’s top finisher in 48th place at 7-over 223. She finished the round by making six consecutive pars on holes 8-13.
  • Isabella Cioe shot a 3-over 73 in the final round to tie for 53rd at 11-over par. She made three bridies and 10 pars on the day.
  • Regina Roldan finished tied for 59th at 225, shooting a 79 in the final round, which included making eight consecutive pars to end the round.

UP NEXT – The Spartans travel back to Southern California on Valentine’s weekend for the Alice and John Wallace Women’s Golf Classic at the Monterey Country Club in Palm Desert, Calif., February 14-16.
