Andersson Finishes 9th To Lead Spartans at Leadership & Golf Invitational

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash.—Moa Andersson earned her first top-10 finish of the season, shooting an even-par 72 in the final round of the Leadership and Golf Invitational as the San José State women’s golf team finished sixth at 16-over 880.

  • Andersson finished ninth at 1-under 215 for the three rounds. She finished first in par-3 scoring at 4-under par and par-5 scoring at 5-under. Andersson tied for sixth in the field in bridies made with 11, making three on Tuesday.
  • Regina Roldan tied for 12th at 2-over 218, shooting an even-par 72 on Tuesday. 
  • Lotte Schuhr shot a 1-over 73 to finish the three rounds at 8-over 224. She tied for 33rd, moving up 20 spots on the individual leaderboard.
  • Kleopatra Kozakiewicz shot a 5-over 77 to tie for 40th at 9-over 225.
  • Chelsie Chin finished her first tournament as a Spartan tied for 68th at 15-over 231.
  • Ting-Yu Chang, playing as an individual, finished tied for 75th at 17-over 233.  
  • The Spartans shot a 294 for the second consecutive round. The team finished second in the field in par-3 scoring at 3.12 and tied for second in birdies made with 43.
    UP NEXT – The Spartans return to the Bay Area for the Stanford Intercollegiate, October 16-18, at the Stanford Golf Course.
