Trent Miyagishima serves as the San Jose State men's basketball director of operations, a position he has held since 2018. Prior to the role, he was appointed as the video coordinator in September of 2017. He spent the previous two seasons as the team’s head manager and has been involved with the program in various managerial roles since 2011.
In May 2021, Miyagishima was announced as being retained by head coach Tim Miles to continue his duties as the director of basketball operations under the new coaching staff. He will now be entering his 12th season with the program.
As video coordinator, Miyagishima primarily managed all of the team’s daily internal video duties which include shooting, editing and analyzing film from practices and games.
Miyagishima is a 2017 San José State University graduate with a degree in communication studies. He earned a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University-Irvine in 2020.The native of Woodland Hills, Calif., played varsity basketball in high school at Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies. His brother Tyler is on the 2017 USA Senior National Taekwondo team.
