Former Spartan gymnast Julia Greer begins her third season as a member of the San José State University women’s gymnastics staff. She is a volunteer assistant for the 2017 season after spending the past two years as the director of operations.
Greer was a four-year letterwinner for the Spartans from 2011-14. She was the 2014 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Year and the 2011Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.
A vault, beam and floor specialist, Greer was All-MPSF on beam and floor in 2014, and second team All-WAC on floor in 2013. She is tied for the school record on beam at 9.900.
In the classroom, Greer was a four-time academic all-conference honoree and NACGC/W Scholastic All-American.
A 2014 graduate of San José State, Greer received a bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent development.
