Hayward, Calif. - The San José State University women's swimming and diving team got back to its winning ways defeating Cal State East Bay, 128-96, Friday at Pioneer Pool.
Senior Michaela McLean and junior Brynne Beneke led the way for the Spartans (9-1) with a pair of first-place finishes of their own. McLean took first in the 100 fly and 50 free with finishing ahead of the pack with times of 57.21 and 24.66, respectively. Beneke took the top spot in the 100 and 200 free in 53.49 and 1:57.01, respectively.
Dominique Yoder placed first in the 100 back with a time of 1:05.35, while Riley Spitser led the field in the 1000 free touching in 10:28.06, and Kayla Nakamoto touched the wall in 2:09.81 for the top spot in the 200 fly.
San José State will wrap up its home slate with a dual match against Fresno State on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at The Aquatics Center. Match time is slated for 12:00 p.m. PT.
